I met Theresa and Chris and her boys whilst in hospital after having had an operation for Colon Cancer. Chris came up everyday to sit for hours with Theresa as my husband did for me. Theresa was a source of constant encouragement and sympathy to me in those very difficult days. At that time Theresa hadn't been diagnosed with anything.She was awaiting test results. As she received them so I was leaving hospital. I think Theresa knew she would have a battle on her hands and for the sake of her family she was ready to meet it. I spoke to Theresa on the telephone several times after I left hospital. Her concern was primarily for me and then herself. It is a great regret to me that I didn't have the chance to get to know Theresa better. Because of the circumstances of our meeting she has had a huge impact on me and as I go forward so she goes forward with me. Jackie Smith
